Went for a weekend getaway at Batam Harris Resort with Deardear and my colleagues.
We bought the vouchers via Deal.com.sg =)
Met early in the morning 8am at Harbourfront Centre.
Was pretty zombie-ish as we stayed up late watching Big Momma @ Downtown East the night before.
It was pretty chaotic whilst collecting the ferry tickets and boarding passes.
So so crowded.
I believe 80% of the crowd bought Deal vouchers online hahaha.
We queued up for around 1.5 hrs before we cleared immigration, our gate was even closed by then. Panic.
The worst thing was, one of my colleague found out that her passport number on her boarding pass was incorrect at the gate despite my reminders for all of them to check way beforehand.
So we ran back to the ticketing counter, only to hear the lady scream and scold at us, and suggested changing her ferry timing to 12.10pm instead.
Luckily we managed to convince her to change the pp number manually and her colleague brought my colleague in. Was so so worried.
We were greeted at Harris with a welcome drink(Ribena),
cookies and their staff dancing and singing to the song “YMCA”
Awesome!
The room was so pretty! Considering the fact that that was
their most basic Harris Room.
We decided to go “Free & Easy” for a while and then met
back at the hotel lobby to go for our one hour body massage.
It was a little uncomfortable for me as my ‘’da yee ma’’ came to visit me, and I insisted on wearing my shorts for the massage haha.
Then we took a cab down to Nagoya Hill Shopping Mall.
Shopping wasn’t as fun, everything was as expensive as
Singapore and the clothes were :/
Lets just say online shopping in Singapore beats them hands down.
I did buy a Kueh Lapis for dear’s family and a bar of papaya
whitening soap for myself.
I regret not buying more of the soap!! Its gooooood.
I have to remind myself to ask whoever is heading to Batam
soon to help me buy 10 bars back hehe. $2+ per bar only.
Bought a Polo top for Deardear at Matahari.
After shopping, the cabs came back to Nagoya to pick us up
and dropped us off at Golden Prawn Seafood Restaurant.
Despite the many raves and praises for that place, the food was BAD.
I literally ate sambal kang kong and rice for my dinner.
The prawns were so small it was like ‘’heh bee’’, and so
difficult to peel most of my colleagues ended up eating it with the shell
intact.
Then we went back to the resort where we all conked out.
Baby and his prized possession =P
Very oily hair after the massage
Second day, we woke up at 9am and headed to the Harris Café for
our buffet breakfast.
Shopped a little more at their Polo boutique there.
And then Dear bought a Polo tee(similar to the one I bought for
him) for me!!
Yay! Thanks darling! *hugs*
I was a little hesitant on whether to get it initially as I wasn’t
sure I would get to wear it often.
But we decided to wear it together when we go to Genting next month! Hehehe
Then Dear went swimming with my colleagues while I went back
to the room to continue on my beauty sleep.
Soon, it was time to check out =(
Took the shuttle bus to the ferry terminal and it was home
sweet home 3 hours later.
i thought this picture was so nice until i realised my finger was covering the left part of the lens =((
Oh yes, i wonder whos the creative fella who drew on this note to ''increase'' its value haha.
It feels good to be back in Singapore.
Looking forward to our Genting Trip next!
I still love Genting for its cool weather.
Deardear said Australia is better. i said i agree, but its far too expensive to go for a weekend getaway to Aussie haha.
Today is ''deposit money into our joint account day''.
HAPPY!!
