Exorbitant Hair Cut

i went for a hair cut today during my lunch break @ The Bencoolen just now.I desperately wanted to cut my fringe.
Walking past a shop named "Section Hair", they had a banner hung up stating that a hair cut would set me back by 28 bucks.
But at the end of the hair cut, the lady told me that since she is the director, her "service" would cost me $38, with additional $5 CNY surcharge.
Alamak, $43 in total.
i doubt i've ever gone for a haircut as expensive hahas.
Thats not all, after leaving the salon, after walking a few steps, i walked past a salon with a $9 haircut promotion.
*faints*
My hair is looking far too golden now. time to dye again!
Looking forward to my long awaited workshop later on.
