Dear Diary,it has been too long since i last blogged.
Today, suddenly, i feel like talking about friendship.
Friends come and go over the years, but only the best ones stay.
This got me wondering, what truly differentiates between a true friend and a hi-bye friend.
Just recently, my friend(ex best friend to be exact), cancelled an outing planned by me because i was late for 35 minutes. Sadly, all of us were late and she happened to be the first one there, accompanied by her bf.
This made me realize, when one is too self absorbed into focusing on people's flaws(lack of punctuality like mine sadly), one tends to overlook the point of being friends. True friends understand one another, and accept one another, irregardless of good or bad points. That being said, that incident struck me like a meteorite, showing me that she wasn't meant to be my best friend after all. Furthermore, our friendship was going downhill over the past few months already and i thought an outing would make things better.
But of course, that wasn't the case.
I think in a group of friends(a clique as what most would call it), conflicts and quarrels are bound to happen between 2 members of the group. and if one of the ''members'' choose to take a side instead of sitting on the fence, it shows that that person is no doubt not a true friend as well.
Sadly, that happened to me as well.
Lucky for me, over the past few months, i've met friends, great friends i would love to keep forever.
Friends who are matured enough to think before they act, friends who are honest with me(i do make mistakes as well), friends who do not betray me(yet another long story), and of course friends who click so well due to similar interests & hobbies(online shopping to be exact) =P .
Being a true friend means that one has to be magnanimous, be flexible.
A true friend that has been always there for me would no doubt be my JC classmate Angel aka my Bestie.
I was awed by what she told me previously, that she understands if i love to spend time with my bf(i am bf orientated sorry haha), just as long as we contact frequently and meet up whenever we can.
That is so mature! i was shocked, as my ex best friend did blow her top when i told her previously i wanted to meet my bf instead of her on his book out day. And i thought no friend could ever accept that, until i met A.
My FP friends have always been a source of encouragement & support, irregardless of whatever the matter(i do nag in our facebook message thread lol) & i am truly happy to have them with me.
My new found Bestie Billie is awesome. We share a similar list of favourite blogshops, we share a list of the same food we absolutely adore, and she never fails to always be there for me, irregardless of bf problems, family problems, my online shop problems.. (and the list goes on) Thank you Babe!
Lets not forget my group of colleagues who never fail to make me laugh with all their antics & jokes.
I am always looking forward to work thanks to them.(now i cant wait to go to office on Monday lol)
And many many great friends like Melissa, Cindy etc etc.
Yups. Thats about it.
I shall go back to watching Armageddon.
Btw, i tried installing the Nuffnang ad in my blog but i keep failing.
